2012 Spring Recital
Saturday, June 2nd at 2pm
KDS performance space in Ball Gym at Ball State University
Registration and all fees are due on January 13, 2012
About the show: Children check in between 1:00 and 1:15pm, we then practice all of the dances, doors open for the audience by 1:45.
The show will be approximately 15-20 minutes.
Please read through all of this information and keep it for your records!
Signing up: The recital is optional, however it is a great opportunity for the children to have fun, build self-esteem, and gain a sense of accomplishment. If you would like for your child to participate in the show, you need to fill out a recital enrollment form and send it to our office with all fees paid NO LATER THAN January 13th 2012
Recital Fee: There is a $5.00 recital fee this year per child. All fees are due in January 13, 2012
Costumes: We order great costumes from specialized dance costume companies while keeping the prices affordable. The costume fee is $40.00 per child (this will include tights unless the costume has pants). A picture of your child’s costume will be posted at your school or day care and for all classes, and on your location's webpage on our site. All fees are due on January 12, 2012. If they are received after this date, late fees will be applied as well as additional shipping fees and we can not guarantee the costume companies will be able to provide a costume in time. All late registration will have a minimum $10.00 late fee and may also have additional shipping fees. Your child’s teacher will measure them in late December and early January. We will use these measurements to determine the size of your child’s costume. If they are close to another size, we will contact you and ask what size you would prefer to order. There are no returns, refunds, or exchanges on costumes.
*For Boys: You can either pay $20 for the costume fee and provide your own BLACK pants for your child, or you can pay the full $40 and we will provide the pants as well.
Shoes: Shoes are not provided as part of the costume. Girls are to wear pink ballet shoes. Boys are to wear black shoes.
Video: You are welcome to video your child's dance, but NO TRIPODS are allowed. This is out of respect for the other audience members. We will be recording the performance and you may purchase a DVD of the entire show at the recital.
Parent Volunteers: We can not have the show with out the help of our fantastic volunteers. Parent Volunteers help in the dressing room keeping track of their child's class and escorting them backstage and back to the dressing room. You will still get to see your child perform from the front row. Your help would be greatly appreciated!
Tickets: Tickets are $2.00 (cash only) the day of the show. To order them in advance with credit card or echeck, just scroll down and click on the button below for your child's show. Tickets for children 6 and under are free.
Dress Rehearsal:
This form in mandatory! We must have the form to process your costume order and put your child in our program, etc.
